Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development

The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) is a short-term exchange program offered by Global Affairs Canada. SEED scholarships are facilitated through institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements between post-secondary institutions in Canada and their partner institutions in ASEAN countries.

Institutions in ASEAN member states interested in sending their students to Canada should explore student exchange agreements with Canadian institutions. Students wishing to pursue short-term studies or research in Canada should review the eligibility criteria and contact their institution’s international office for application details. Canadian institutions must apply on behalf of eligible candidates.

II. FAQ

1. I have received an Acceptance Letter for the student exchange program from the Canadian institution. Does this acceptance automatically include selection for the SEED scholarship?

=> No. The student exchange program of Canadian institutions and the SEED scholarship are two separate processes. Therefore, the results will be announced independently.

2. What is UIT’s policy on credit recognition and transfer? Who should I contact for support?

=> The recognition of credit equivalency is handled by the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs and your current Faculty. These departments are responsible for reviewing and determining whether the credits you earn at Canadian institutions can be counted toward your UIT degree program. You can consult with them directly for further assistance.

For UIT Students who wish to do Student Exchange abroad, please carefully read the information regarding the Credit Transfer Process in UIT's undergraduate programs at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z2URmRt4b2veCPzEmSGv0DWP7FuywKx2/view?u...

3. When will be the scholarship announcement?
