Dear UIT Students,
Applications are now being accepted for the Canadian government's SEED Scholarship Program 2025.
Submit your complete application package to the Office of External Relations (Room A125) during the following hours: mornings, 8:00 AM to 11:15 AM; afternoons, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, FROM FEBRUARY 21 TO FEBRUARY 27, 2025
Your application must include the following documents:
- Proof of Citizenship: A notarized copy of your passport or national identity document (valid dates required). All information must be clear and legible, without glare or shadows. (Note: Driver’s license, permanent residence card, work permit, student card, health card, birth certificate, or baptismal certificate are NOT accepted.)
- Proof of Full-Time Enrollment: A letter in English from UIT, on official letterhead, dated within the last six months. This letter must confirm your current full-time enrollment, your continued enrollment upon your return, and your expected degree completion date. Maximum one page. (Note: Copies of transcripts, a student card, or letter of admission are NOT acceptable.) (See attached template in “List of Required Supporting Document”, Page 3)
- Letter of Intent (from the candidate): A one-page letter in English explaining the nature of your studies or research to be undertaken. Clearly articulate your rationale for studying in Canada, your choice of institution, program, and supervisor, and how this experience aligns with your future career goals. MUST submit the original copy, signed and dated by applicant. Scanned or photocopied version is NOT accepted.
- Letter of Support (from UIT): A one-page letter in English from your instructor, professor, or international director, on UIT's official letterhead. This letter should describe the nature of your proposed studies or research in Canada and explain how both you and UIT will benefit from this scholarship program. MUST submit the original copy, signed and dated by the professor. Scanned or photocopied version is NOT accepted.
- Privacy Notice Statement: A copy of the signed Privacy Notice Statement for non-Canadian participants (https://www.educanada.ca/scholarships-bourses/non_can/notice-enonce.aspx...)
- Candidate Information (attached template): Ensure all information is accurate and consistent with the details on your passport, current program, and institutional information
- Declaration (attached template): In Vietnamese. You will sign this declaration only when you submit your application at the Office of External Relations, Room A125 (must be signed in person, at the presence of the staff of the Office of External Relations)
- Language Proficiency Certificates: Submit original documents or notarized copies if originals are unavailable. (See the table below for language requirements.)
- Student ID Card: Please bring your student ID card for verification when submitting your application.
- Student Transcript (original copy signed and stamped by UIT)

Other Documents: Supporting documents, such as awards and certificates (if available), can help with application evaluation. These documents should be submitted in the original English version or with a notarized English translation.

Important Reminders:
- All documents must be in English (except the Declaration form).
- Pay close attention to the page limits for each document.
- Double-check all information for accuracy.
- Only applications for Fall 2025 will be accepted for the SEED program, as per EduCanada’s decision. Selected candidates may arrive between August 1, 2025, and October 1, 2025. Failure to arrive within this period may result in scholarship cancellation.
- Selected candidates should submit their visa or study/work permit application as early as possible to avoid delays.
- UIT students must have successfully completed at least one year of study prior to applying for an exchange and must remain registered at UIT during the exchange. Fourth-year students are ineligible at the time of application submission.
- Duration: Four months or one academic term.
