1. Functions:
Providing advisory services and assisting the President in managing foreign relations, international cooperation activities, and international projects of the University.
2. Duties:
2.1 Foreign Relations:
- Collaborating with units to seek, identify organizations and individuals with the capacity, prestige, and goodwill to cooperate in training, scientific research, etc. to propose to the President to establish cooperative relationships. Proposing options for selecting partners and cooperation areas. Maintaining collaborative relationships with partners.
- Organizing incoming and outgoing delegations at the University level; completing entry and exit procedures and providing transportation for international guests; performing reception duties, advising the President on diplomatic protocols; supporting procedures related to entry and exit for international lecturers and students while working at UIT; monitoring, evaluating work results, and drawing lessons learned to advise the President.
- Point of contact: arranging work schedules, receiving guests at the University level as directed by the President, organizing working sessions, and recording minutes of meetings.
- Preparing necessary conditions for the Board of Presidents to go on business trips abroad.
- Requesting permission to organize international scientific conferences, workshops, and academic activities. Collaborating with functional units to organize international scientific conferences, workshops, and academic activities.
- Developing/implementing student exchange programs with partners.
- Coordinating with relevant departments inside and outside the University to build and develop cooperative relationships suitable to the specific characteristics and development orientation of the University. Acting as the focal point for managing the foreign relations activities of units within the University, coordinating guidance, and assisting faculties in developing international relations.
- Receiving, drafting, translating, and sending documents, letters, and emails to serve the general international relations activities of the university. Translating transcripts, diplomas, and certificates issued by the University into English for learners. Certifying translations of invitations for business trips abroad.
- Reviewing and advising on the University-level MOUs for the Board of Presidents.
- Developing a policy for classifying enterprise partners at the University level and taking care of enterprise partners at the University level according to the corresponding level of sponsorship
2.2 Project Management:
- Seeking and introducing domestic and foreign projects to faculties, laboratories, and specialized units, or registering to implement projects suitable to the specialty of the External Relations Office under the specific direction of the President.
- Collaborating with relevant units to negotiate with foreign partners in building and managing joint training programs. Supporting the Office of Excellent Programs in working with competent authorities to carry out procedures for licensing and extending joint training programs.
- Seeking and managing scholarships outside the Southeast Asia region (undergraduate and postgraduate) for students and staff of the University.
- Participating in workshops organized by embassies/consulates of countries and non-profit organizations to expand connections.
- Organizing seminars and workshops related to external relations and disseminating projects.
