Mission

1. External Relations

- Actively seeking and learning about organizations and individuals with capacity, reputation and willingness to cooperate in the fields of training, scientific research, industry, etc. to propose to the President to establish a relationship. Proposing options for selecting partners and areas of cooperation. Maintaining cooperative relationships with partners.

- Organizing entry and exit delegations at the university level; carrying out immigration procedures and shuttling international guests, performing reception work, and advising the President on diplomatic protocol procedures; Supporting related procedures for foreign lecturers and students in the time of working at UIT; Monitoring and evaluating work results and learning from experience to advise the President.

- Being communication focal point: arranging work schedule, welcoming domestic guests of UIT. Ensuring convenient and thoughtful accommodation and meals for guests while working at UIT. Preparing necessary conditions for university-level leaders to go on business trips.

- Preparing and organizing working sessions and record minutes of working sessions between University leaders and foreign delegations.

- Asking for permission to organize international conferences, scientific seminars, and academic activities. Coordinating with functional units to organize conferences, scientific seminars, and international academic activities.

- Developing/implementing academic exchange programs with partners.

- Coordinating with relevant departments inside and outside UIT to build and develop cooperative relationships suitable to the characteristics and development orientation UIT. Acting as the focal point for managing foreign affairs activities of units within UIT, coordinating guidance and helping faculties develop international relations.

- Receiving, drafting, translating and sending documents, letters and telegrams to serve UIT’s general international relations activities. Translating transcripts, diplomas, and certificates issued by UIT into English for learners. Certifying of translations of invitation letters for business trips abroad.

2. Project management

- Building international cooperation strategies, building reception, and managing international projects of UIT. Organizing the signing, implementing monitoring, evaluating periodically, summarizing and evaluating finally of international cooperation projects.

- Negotiating with foreign partners in building and managing joint training programs with relevant units. Working with authorities to carry out licensing procedures to extend joint training programs.

- Searching and managing international scholarship programs (undergraduate and postgraduate) for students and staff of UIT.

- Coordinating with the Youth Union and Union of Students to find scholarship sources for students from home and abroad.
